Today's the Day

Well here we finally are D-day. It is 9 a.m. and we will leave for the airport in about 3 hours. We have done all we can do to be ready, things that are still in the balance will either wait for our return or God will have to take care of them.

The big thing is the homestudy (Which you will recall we had to completely redo) is finished, but did not get mailed to BCIS until Thursday. That means they did not get it in time to renew our paperwork for us to take with us. Pray for Bruce's parents as they will be watching for the letter and then scurrying around to get all the necessary documents to go with it and then FedEx-ing it to us in Ukraine.

Our friends have been wonderful. I cannot express or thank you enough for the way you have rallied around us and supported us over the last month. You have been great and we will carry all of you in our hearts as we travel.

It is strange to think how totally different our lives will be the next time I sit at this computer. Truthfully, I have no concept of what that will be like. I pray that God will give us wisdom, patience, and love as we embark on this adventure.

Hopefully, we will be posting here every day or two so check back often. We will also be checking you comments here and our email so let us hear from you.

Peace of Christ,
Lori

We are praying for a safe and flawless flight for all six of you flying out today. We will also pray that your home study paperwork gets there safely and on time. Everything will work out just fine, you definitely have the right attitude going into this from reading your postings. We are the family that was at the prayer meeting this past Thursday with our daughter, Carly, the red head, and our Ukraine adopted son, Toli, who was very busy with his cars that night. Take care and enjoy the ride! Therese, Lewie, Carly, and Toli Stevens

Hi Bruce and Lori,
Just thought we'd let you know that Divine Savior Lutheran congregation is keeping you in our prayers during your time in the Ukraine. The season of Advent is known to be a time of "waiting", but our prayers are that the Lord will shorten your wait as much as possible. The Lord be with you!
